The subject of science, as a vocation or educational topic, has long been one that many blind and partially sighted people have avoided because of the access difficulties.
We start our new monthly, accessible, science feature with a look at the Large Hadron Collider, at Cern. And over the coming months, we'll look at different aspects of the subject and how new teaching methods and technology is opening up the world to those with sight loss.
This month RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell speaks to the experts, Rob Appleby, Chris Edmonds and Robyn Watson.
