Redefining Age Limits - Tommy Hughes

Episode 114,   Nov 20, 2019, 01:52 PM

This week's show is an interview with record breaking Marathon runner, Tommy Hughes. Tommy, 59, has broken virtually every age group Word Record over the last year. from 5k to Marathon.

Tommy has had an interesting career- starting running after being made redundant during the depression in Ireland in the 80's, and coaching himself to a spot at the 1992 Olympics. After retiring in the last 90's, Tommy has made an emphatic return to the sport, and has run a sub 2.30 Marathon in every decade since the 1980's.
