Kent commuters returning to work this morning after the festive break will find train fares are up - by an average of 2.7%.
The increase means people are paying more than £6,470 for a season ticket between Canterbury and London - a rise of £176.
The Rail Delivery Group says the rise is necessary to maintain the railway services
