Summer's Interview

Apr 09, 2012, 05:48 AM

This is an audio file for a Lang-8er's interview. Respected professors: I am honored to be informed to have this interview. My name is Liu2 Zuo4qiong2, My hometown is Shanxi, known as one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization, possessing golden lands and pure-hearted people. The soil of the plateau and the northern wind gives me the quality of perseverance, an outgoing personality and a passionate disposition.

I graduated from Hebei University of Economics and Business. Although it is not well known, I still appreciate it. It has a beautiful lotus pond and a charming grove of trees I liked to see during dawn that I loved deeply. But more importantly, the university taught me how to study effectively and live positively.

My undergraduate major was commerce economics. Law and economics are closely related. Forty years ago, scholars had devoted themselves to the study of the relationship between law and economics. This study allowed them to set up a new subject——law and economics. As an economics student, I think I can study law from a different perspective.

Our country has been committed to the construction of ruling by law, whether in the present or in the future. Knowledge of the law, as with language, is one of the important survival skills in life as well as for my future career.

I have great interest in law. I appreciate knowledgeable jurists, I admire knowledgeable and successful lawyers, yet I know I still have a long way to go to become one of the elite. The China University of Political Science and Law is a famous legal university which has outstanding scholars and the most professional legal education. I am looking forward to building a solid foundation for my future profession which will be based on three years of studying at the China University of Political Science and Law. Thank you for giving me such a valuable opportunity!
