The US has imposed sanctions on South Sudan first vice president Taban Deng Ghai, accusing him of serious human rights abuses and trying to derail the peace process. Speaking to Miraya this morning, political analyst Abraham Kuol says the sanctions have come at a critical moment when government is almost working on the formation of the revitalized government of national unity. Dr. Kuol said Taban has been working hard to renew the relationship between Juba and Washington and that the sanctions now reverse all these efforts.
