The number of alcohol-related hospital admissions in Kent has gone up by almost a third in the last six years.

Official figures show there were more than 30-thousand in 2018-19 - and nearly 5-thousand in Medway which is a rise of 17 percent.

Penny Williams is chief exec of the Kenward Trust - a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Yalding, which helps people overcome alcohol addiction.

She says the government should be investing in these type of services to ease the burden on the NHS.
