Belleau Woods, is where the stunning heroism of the USMC was exhibited for the world to see. The U.S has just entered the First World War and started off with a bang.The battle forged the modern identity of the U.S. Marines, pushed the Germans away from Paris. Belleau woods legacy was to build an officer corp from the veterans of this battle, those officers helped win World War Two.
