Today’s friend of the podcast hails from Mayville, Wisconsin and has an incredible story of grit and perseverance. He kicked off his music career with his band “Faintly” in Wisconsin. After booking the band’s first six shows, he had to cancel all of them for open heart surgery in 2008. For those of you who don’t know – this requires the collapsing of both lungs. As a result, he had to re-train them to sing again. Fast forward a few years and some lineup changes, the band relocated to Seattle and took on the name “Among Authors”.
Gearing up for a HUGE year, including a national tour, NPR Tiny Desk appearance, and headlining The Crocodile June 29th, please welcome the man with the golden voice – often likened to Jeff Buckley – with the compositional genius of the prog rock greats, and brother of season 1 guest Jason Ketterer, Ian Ketterer of Among Authors.
