Tyler Mays

Season 2, Episode 28,   Apr 02, 2019, 03:59 PM

Founder and producer at Irongrove Studios and bassist for Becoming Bristol. We chat about everything from his seemingly endless musical repertoire (bass, keys, guitar, drums, trombone, percussion, and sings). Think of a type of band, and he’s been a part of it – jazz, church worship, rock, youth symphony, the list goes on.

Please welcome former hardcore jazz enthusiast and current hater of cheese, Issaquah’s own Tyler Mays.

Today’s friend of the podcast may be one of the single most well-rounded individuals to come on the podcast. He started with piano at age 5, and has only expanded his repertoire since. He plays bass, keys, guitar, drums, trombone, percussion, and sings. Think of a type of band, and he’s been a part of it – jazz, church worship, rock, youth symphony, the list goes on. He’s also a producer and founded his very own studio, Irongrove Studios.

Currently, he’s the bassist for Becoming Bristol (formerly The Exchange) – for whom he also runs live sound for. And man – let me tell you, these guys put on a SHOW! Something I definitely want to dig into later. If you’re still not sold on this young man’s musical prowess, I don’t know what else to say. Please welcome former hardcore jazz enthusiast and current hater of cheese, Issaquah’s own Tyler Mays.
