Welcome to Made for Music. Today’s friend of the podcast is an extremely talented singer song-writer and trained jazz vocalist. In high school, he was in a touring vocal jazz choir and formed his first band, Futura, at age 17. His first recording came out in 2014, with friend and rapper Lucha Media – with his debut EP “Adulthood” following in 2015. He’s amidst the rollout of his second solo EP “Easy” set for release March 4th. He also just started a three-piece band The Coastals that debuted early 2019.

Hailing from Edmonds, WA, please welcome Child #3 of 5, who delivers a shockingly amazing cover of Chris Brown’s “Yo (Excuse Me Miss)”, – a big fan of D’Angelo, Justin Timberlake, and The Neptunes (among many others) – the walking jukebox himself, Evan DeVries.

From a touring vocal jazz choir and a brief stint rapping, this walking jukebox is amidst an incredibly unique and intriguing roll out of his second EP “Easy” - inspired by the likes of D’Angelo, Justin Timberlake, and The Neptunes - which drops March 4th.
