Emily McVicker is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and former caricature artist who got her start writing comedic songs. Now, she writes jazz-infused pop songs for the masses, runs The Duet series at The Dane, and has an album due out this summer.

Today's friend of the podcast is a Seattle native who has taken her music all over the country. She attended the Point Park U. Conservatory of Performing Arts in Pittsburgh - with a focus on theatre. Since graduating, some of her many accomplishments include doing a cappella at Hershey Park, singing in the #1 ranked top 40s band for Carnival Cruise Lines, and voiceover and BGV work in New York City. She returned to Seattle two years ago to pursue an independent music career, during which time she launched the Duet Series - with the next show May 10th at The Dane featuring Champagne and has been working on a solo album, due out this summer.
