Valparaiso gas salesmen reimagined by Andy Billington.
"The original field recording has so much movement, spirit and depth. I wanted to retain this.
"Working solely on a Teenage Engineering OP1, I sampled the original recording and made drum kits and synths from it. I then re recorded parts playing the drums and synth samples live adding more layers.
"In a moment of serendipity a bass line was accidentally arpeggiated across the piece which also informed more glitch patterns, synth drone and hypnagogic gamelan."
