SRSG David Shearer: Democracy needs free media

The special Representative of the Secretary General in South Sudan David Shearer has reiterated the importance of Radio for a peaceful coexistence. Mr Shearer says with the 64 different tribes spread across South Sudan, Radio plays a big role in connecting people together in the one big community. He said for a country to be democratic, it needs a free media where people are freely given information to make informed decisions.
