The United Nations Mission in South Sudan and IGAD mediators have welcomed the announcement of the Presidency to return to 10 states.
UN Special Representative David Shearer noted that the government’s decision may not be welcome everywhere and could cause short term disruption but said it has been done in the spirit of compromise to secure durable peace.
