Hundreds of Kyoto birds overhead

Feb 18, 2020, 09:06 AM

Exiting Kyoto station in the early evening, your attention is arrested by many hundreds of small birds, all lined up symmetrically on the overhead cables and chattering. Their calls become louder and more combative each time a new bird flies in and tries to take up space - constant jostling for space and territory, and the sounds of the natural world and the urban world colliding. Recorded by Giulia Biasibetti.
