A new Nairoman?

Season 8, Episode 18,   Feb 20, 2020, 09:14 AM

In this episode of The Cycling Podcast, Richard Moore, Lionel Birnie and Daniel Friebe recap a great week of racing for Colombian riders and the EF Education First team.

The outstanding performance of the week was by Nairo Quintana, who grabbed his first victories for the French Arkéa-Samsic by winning the stage to Chalet-Reynard, halfway up Mont Ventoux, to clinch the Tour de La Provence. Meanwhile, EF Education First dominated the Tour Colombia by winning the team time trial to set up a clean sweep of the overall podium, topped by Sergio Higuita.

We also hear from EF Education First sports director Juan Manuel Gárate and rider Lawson Craddock about the experience of racing in Colombia and coping with the effects of consistently high altitude during the race.
