"Prioritize Protection of Civilians," NRC tells South Sudan leaders

The Norwegian Refugee Council is calling on the upcoming government to prioritize protection of civilians and preservation of peace.
The Humanitarian agency says the government should also enabled humanitarian access to areas gripped by food insecurity.
This comes after the government and the United Nation released a report that half the of the population are already facing an acute food insecurity due to extreme weather and other factors.
The Regional Advocacy Advisor of the Norwegian Refugees Council, Jeremy Taylor, says prioritizing protection of civilian should remain a critical area of focus for the new government.
