Motorists in Juba City will now pay parking fees under a new revenue collection initiative by Juba City Council.
The Former Deputy Mayor for Physical Infrastructure and Development at the Juba City Council, Thiik Thiik Mayardit, says each motorist is expected to pay 100 South Sudanese Pounds per hour.
The town municipality has contracted a company to carry out the exercise across the capital city.
Those mandated to collect the fees are dressed in orange uniforms and are instructed to give motorists tickets as proof of payment.
Government and consular vehicles will not be subjected to the fees.
