Countess of Wessex calls on women of South Sudan to stand up and play their role in the peace process.

A member of UK Royal family visiting South Sudan says UK together with other partners will continue supporting victims of sexual and gender-based violence.
Countess of Wessex arrived in the Country on Tuesday and visited Malakal where she met women suffered sexual and gender base violence as result of the conflict.
In an interview with Radio Miraya, she says her visit has given her firsthand understanding of the situation on the ground.

 “coming here and being able to understand some of the drivers, some of the deep rooted behaviors that are engrained in the society for many different reasons but trying to understand that first and see what we can do to support the many different projects that the UK and other partner countries have got here in South Sudan to try and change things”
