Health minister: COVID-19, top priority

The newly appointed minister of health says the ministry will identify additional isolation centers for suspected coronavirus cases. Elizabeth Acuei Yol started work in her new office today, with COVID-19 as one of her top priorities. She told Radio Miraya that her immediate focus is on preparing the country for a possible outbreak – and said the isolation facility available is not enough.
The minister said her other priorities include improving health facilities and addressing the root causes of shortages of medical personnel including training and salaries.
