The Food and Agriculture Organization in South Sudan says, the arrival of locusts in Juba over the weekend, came as a big surprise.

FAO’s Country Representative Meshack Malo told Radio Miraya with this new development, it is a wake-up call to change the strategy.

He said several people have been trained as field monitors to give updates daily in regard to the locusts’ invasion across the country.
