CV is a Date Heavy Document
- Leaving cert / courses (QQI etc)
- Don’t have unexplained gaps of no employment / study
- Reverse Chronological order
First & Most Important: 3 min 30 sec
- Unpacking the job description
- Demonstrating your understanding of the job description
Key Areas of the CV: ~4 min 50 sec
- Details the key areas that can be included on the CV such as education, work experience, volunteering etc. Not all are necessary.
Structure: 5 min 20 sec - nearly the end
- Focuses on the details such as fonts, headings etc.
- The style and use of language, positioning
- Different work: paid, volunteer, professional unpaid
- Hobbies & Interests
- References: Upon Request
