Defyhate now notes with great concern the consistent hate messages by some social media users

Defy-Hate-Now, an anti-hate speech advocacy group is advising the public to refrain from speculative and hateful messages during this time of the coronavirus pandemic.  The group involved in fact checking and monitoring, has discovered that personal and inaccurate information has consistently been spread on social media platforms since the first case was reported on Sunday the 5th of April.  
Defy-Hate-Now Communications Associate Lucy Kiden, and Country Coordinator Suzan Kim Otor Spoke to Radio Miraya's Irene Lasu. They noted that hate speech and misinformation are a threat to the patient and national efforts to contain the virus.
