Dawn newspaper blocked from publishing today's copy

The Dawn newspaper was today blocked from publishing its copy, after officials from the National Security service raised concern over the paper’s opinion piece.

The editor in Chief of the newspaper, Emmanuel Monychol told Radio Miraya that the officials wanted the paper to pull out the opinion piece which was analysing performances of former governors of Warrap State that was to run in today’s copy.

Monychol urged the government not to censor the media during this critical time of COVID19 pandemic, where people need lifesaving information.
