Season 1, Episode 396,   May 06, 2020, 08:00 AM

With information and advice on coronavirus coming thick and fast, it’s important that vital message reaches as many people as possible.

RNIB and the UK Government Cabinet Office have teamed up to make sure that official releases are easily accessible for blind people, who may not have access to the internet or have difficulty reading text.

RNIB Connect Radio’s Allan Russell spoke to broadcaster Jon Snow, who has recorded information for the charity, to hear about his work with RNIB and his lockdown experience.

If you would like to hear the recorded advice and information, everything from tips about money, staying safe and keeping physically and mentally fit, call the RNIB helpline on 0303 123 9999.

It’s opened Monday to Friday, 8am til 8pm, and on Saturdays, 9am until 5pm.
There’s a whole host of information and advice available over the phone on a huge range of topics.
