The Port Chatam murders

From 1920 to the 1950's Port Chatam, Alaska was attacked by a monster. Eye witness reported that a large fur covered man like animal murdered many people in the Kunai Peninsula. The attacks persisted until the whole town mysteriously abandoned the area.
