Boda-boda riders have petitioned state authorities demanding the lifting of restrictions on their movement. The public motorcycle operators in Torit, through their association staged a peaceful demonstration in Torit town on Wednesday and handed their petition to the state Secretary-General.  Their representative, Juma Moses Abaha said the restrictions that were imposed by the national COVID-19 taskforce for the safety of the country’s population, are straining their families.
Secretary-General of the defunct Torit state, Emmanuel Ochiti Otaviano received the petition and asked the cyclists to remain calm as their concerns are passed onto the national government.
