During the COVID-19 outbreak the UK's midwifery community have had to adapt their normal practices to limit the spread of the virus. The camaraderie, courage and empathy up and down the country has been a defiant reminder that life, quite literally, goes on.
Our host Gill, an experienced midwife and nurse in the NHS for almost 40 years, is joined (remotely) by fellow midwife Nicole. Together they discuss the impact COVID-19 has had on midwives and the women and families in their care. They also share guidance to support midwives during the acute phase of the pandemic and for the weeks and months ahead.
