The Indian equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty ended higher on May 8, supported by strong gains in shares of heavyweights such as Reliance Industries and Hindustan Unilever, while positive Asian peers underpinned investor sentiment.
The BSE Sensex rose 199 points to 31,642 while the Nifty50 closed 52 points higher at 9,251.
