05.13.2020: Revisit the often-forgotten 1978 season with Larry Hisle

May 13, 10:00 AM

Host JR Radcliffe welcomes former Brewers standout Larry Hisle, a top-three finisher in the MVP voting when the Brewers recorded their first winning season in 1978.

The Brewers had never enjoyed a winning season until 1978, when the free-agent acquisition of Larry Hisle was one of many key moves that turned the franchise around. Hisle joins podcast host JR Radcliffe to revisit that campaign, chatting about rookie Paul Molitor, Cy Young candidate Mike Caldwell, colorful manager George Bamberger, the strange free-agent process of the times and the challenges of the American League East.
