Birdsong during lockdown

Brighton, UK lockdown sound recorded by Vicky Roupa.

"On a morning walk not far from home, I noticed how audibly the birds were singing. Living close to a busy road, I'd been aware of birdsong in previous years but it had been largely drowned out by passing traffic. This spring has been completely different in this respect, as in so many others. It seems that by suppressing human activity, the lockdown has opened possibilities for nature to expand and thrive. In this recording, the melodious song of blackbirds and great tits is intermixed with the sounds of seagulls enjoying some early morning intimacies."
