SPLM-IO spox: Self-isolation of FVP not affecting running of gov't business

The Press Secretary for First Vice President, Riek Machar Teny says the self-isolation of the First Vice President after he tested positive for COVID-19, is not affecting the running of government business. 

 

James Gadet Dak says Dr Machar is continuing with his official assignments remotely from his residence in Juba. 

 

“Dr Machar and his wife also Minister for Defence and Veteran Affairs, Angelina Teny have been in isolation at their residence in Juba since they tested positive for the coronavirus last week,” Dak told Radio Miraya. 

 

On the peace process, Dak said Dr. Machar completed negotiations with the other parties and submitted the SPLM-IO position to President Salva Kiir before isolation.
