Heavy rain disrupt business, affects residents in Juba

Several areas in the capital Juba have been flooded following heavy rains that have pounded the city in the last few days.

In response, this morning people were seen digging passages to drain water from their homes and collecting belongings that were submerged in water.

Market sellers have also shifted their stalls to the roadsides after their market stalls were flooded.

Early this week, the weatherman predicted that heavy rains will be experienced in several parts of the country and warned of possible flooding.

Flooding has so far been reported in other parts of the Country like Bor in Jonglei. 

Ministry of humanitarian affairs and disaster management has warned people of more flooding in months ahead as heavy rains are expected across the Country.
