One person dies after detonating a grenade

One person has died in Yei after detonating a grenade while engaging in a fight with join security operation. The deceased is believed to be part of an armed group and had been frequently visiting his family in Luparete just 2 – kilometers outside Yei town. 

He was being intercepted by security forces during one of his visits yesterday and was shot on the leg. He then detonated a grenade while trying to escape and died in the process. Police Commissioner in Yei, Maj. Gen Lujang Kamba spoke to our reporter Phillip Wani
