South Sudan to benefit from Canada’s donation to fight COVID-19

The Canadian government has said South Sudan will benefit from a global response package to fight COVID-19. 
Canada recently announced the allocation of $159.5 million in funding to support international efforts to fight the pandemic. 
In an exclusive interview, the Canadian Minister of International Development, Karina Gould says South Sudan will receive a share of the package in direct response through international organizations like WFP, ICRC, and UN agencies.
Karina Gould said her government will provide additional funding to help partners adjust existing programs in South Sudan to adapt to the context of COVID-19 situation.
