Terraza a la autopista

Buenos Aires lockdown sound recorded by Claudio Barros.

"This is a recording made from the door of my studio that overlooks a small terrace, in the middle of the afternoon, located 50 meters from the "25 de Mayo Highway" that crosses the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
(Yes there are houses 50 meters from the highway and up to five and less meters from it. That does not meet the distance regulations, but this is Argentina.)

"During the preventative and compulsory social isolation ordered by the current Government on the occasion of Covid-19, traffic has been reduced to 50% of the usual.

"The background noise from the highway remains more or less the same. Presenting a little less sound intensity throughout the day, with some peaks of agitation, reducing considerably at night. What is perceived as different from the usual and more clearly, at some times of the day, is the individual sound of some cars as they pass.

"Argentina is having, until now, one of the strictest and longest quarantines."
