Since RNIB extended it's helpline's opening hours, they've seen a huge increase in blind and partially sighted people struggle to secure online delivery slots for their grocery shop.
The charity has worked with supermarkets, smaller grocers and government departments to make the process easier and more accessible and have now been engaged by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to triage applications for priority delivery slots.
This applies, at the moment, to those in England but there is a wealth of support for those in the rest of the UK.
RNIB Connect radio's Allan Russell spoke to Jamie Dormandy, from RNIB, to learn more about the scheme and how blind and partially sighted people can apply.
If you would benefit from this service, or have any enquiries around sight loss and RNIB's services, you can call the helpline on 0303 123 9999 Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday's from 9am to 5pm.
