Kelly Rowland

Episode 27,   Jun 28, 2020, 11:00 PM

This summer marks 18 years since Kelly Rowland's breakout as a solo star with the Grammy-winning smash 'Dilemma'. In celebration of this milestone for our beloved Queen of R&B bops, Queen of Dance-Pop crossovers, and Destiny's Child icon... Joel and David throwback to Kelendria's first two albums "Simply Deep" and "Ms Kelly", plus her renaissance moment 'When Love Takes Over' with David Guetta in 2009.

Together they unpack the start of Kelly's career post Destiny's Child - from the thought-provoking ballad 'Stole' to her movie debut in Freddy vs Jason, before reuniting with Beyoncé and Michelle for their monumental swan song: "Destiny Fulfilled".

There's also The Seat Filler, an essential 'hun's night in' film starring our girl Kel and Mel B. David - the self-appointed OG Rowland Stone - rallies around his 'no skip album' "Ms. Kelly" while reliving the ups and downs of this era, featuring the ladies night anthem 'Like This' (feat. Eve) and international dance smash 'Work (Freemasons Remix)'.

Stay safe, get some juice mixed with booze, and let the Kelly Rowland love take over!
