Daarina Marie produced her first pilot for Endemol in 2007, spurring her move to Los Angeles from her native Chicago. She graduated, with honors, with her B.A. in Television Production and Directing from Columbia College Chicago. Since then, she has worked on and produced for a variety of top-rated television shows including America's Got Talent and The X-Factor, as well projects for OWN, ABC, Facebook Watch, FOX, HBO Max, Netflix and more. She's always enjoyed the art of storytelling. Taking advantage of creative opportunities at an early age, allowed her to land in the Smithsonian at only 10-years-old and have her first play she wrote at 11-years-old, get selected to tour. Currently, she is the creator and director of the award-winning digital series “Chronicles of a Dark Child In Hollywood.” In the series, real people share their truths, through comedy, about their most awkward experiences and what it’s like being a person of color in Hollywood. Her goal with creating it is to help change the narrative for African-Americans and other POCs everywhere by creating a dialogue. Although the series highlights stories told by people in the entertainment industry, POCs anywhere and in any profession can relate. In her free time, she loves thrifting and mentoring teens for the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of California.
