Series 1 - Episode 7: Alex Rotas, photographer of senior sportsmen and women.

Delighted to be talking with Alex Rotas.  Alex challenges stereotypes about ageing through her photography, speaking, broadcasting, writing and links with health organisations. In her fifties she was an academic and planned that her next project was to look at images of older sportsmen and women and write about them. She could find none. So in 2011 she bought her first camera and started plugging the gap. She is now a documenter of positive ageing and a passionate anti-ageism advocate. She is currently making a film about older female athletes called The Maverick Generation. She has had exhibitions in Europe and America, speaking tours in the UK and USA and many media appearances.
