More than 1,600 households displaced by floods in Terekeka county

An estimated one thousand six hundred families have been affected by flooding in Terekeka county, Central Equatoria State. The floods caused by Torrential rains, have submerged farmlands and houses in at least five bomas.
The Chairperson of the county Relief and Rehabilitation Commission office, John Nyokun, says there will be no crop harvest due to the rising water levels.
The affected areas particularly like Nyori, Terekeka, Mone, Tombek and part of Gimeza and northern Mangalla.
Nyokun says a team of humanitarian agencies is expected to carry out assessment in the affected villages on Thursday.
He spoke to Radio Miraya in this 5” interview.
