A civil society organization says, misinterpretation of the provisions of the peace agreement by the parties is slowing down its implementation.

The Executive Director of the community empowerment of progress organization- CEPO, Edmund Yakani says, currently the parties have disagreed over power sharing in three out of ten States.

He says another point of conflict among the parties is the disagreement on power sharing at local government level,  with the incumbent TGoNU pushing for 75 Counties plus two administrative areas, but other parties want it divided as per the agreement.

Edmund says such misinterpretation of the agreement will continue to delay the implementation process.
