Micro-Ultrasound for Easier Prostate Cancer Screening

Season 1, Episode 1,   Sep 01, 2020, 04:00 PM

Thank you for listening to The Reading Room, Diagnostic Imaging's podcast.

We are joined today by Dr. Laurence Klotz, former chief of the division of urology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center and former president of the Canadian Urological Association. He is also a long-standing proponent of active surveillance for men who have been diagnosed with low-risk prostate cancer. Here, he discusses the use of micro-ultrasound in detecting prostate cancer and the role it could play in supplementing multi-parametric MRI in searching for and more easily identifying the disease.
