BADDA 4856 - first edition

This is the first edition of the Sonic Wallpaper piece created in response to the design with the accession no. BADDA 4856 in the MoDA wallpaper collection. This wallpaper design inspired comments ranging from "underwater wallpaper is what I want" through to "the way these petals kind of seem to move... they look to me like tentacles". Field recordings made in different aquariums using hydrophones have been layered to underscore these ideas; to create a sonic equivalent to the visual, paper design. What do you think the wallpaper looks like, listening to these sounds?
