"I stayed here last night with a close friend. We had several gruff man EVPs, intelligent responses with motion activated devices, and a plethora of unexplained sounds and one loud, loud bang."- Review of 1858 Garnett House Hotel.

Rob Garcia and Elite Paranormal have been investigating hauntings in the KC area since 2007. When Rob provided the EVP equipment as part of a paranormal investigation of the Sigma Nu Fraternity house in Lawrence, Kansas (2009), I was there as the Psychic/Intuitive. Here's the summary: Lawrence Journal World.

We are both included in an upcoming documentary about Sigma Nu. Release date on that project TBA.

In addition to an interest in the paranormal, Rob also has a History background and is in the process of restoring (with a partner) a historic landmark in Garnett, Kansas.

History and Ghosts. Houdini performed there and slept in the Garnett House. Win - win.

Website: Known as The Garnett House and also the Lighthouse Hotel due to it’s bright lantern on the top floor which could be seen for miles at that time. It is the only surviving antebellum structure in the town of Garnett, Kansas.

History is the foundation. Hauntings are the perks. Judging from the reviews - the perks are pretty reliable.

"I stayed here last night with a close friend. We had several gruff man EVPs, intelligent responses with motion activated devices, and a plethora of unexplained sounds and one loud, loud bang. The owner gives an amazing tour and history lesson. He's been in the paranormal for a while now - so he was a trustworthy source. Will be back!"

Rob says he hopes to eventually write a book about all of his experiences. For now, getting through the restoration phase is the biggest hurdle.

Featured in the LATimes, Rob says Ghost Hunting requires patience. The headline takes another perspective. "In Real Life, Ghost Hunting is Boring!"
