UNICEF launches campaign at ending child marriage in South Sudan

In the run up to the day of the Girlchild which falls on 11th of October 2020, the UN children’s agency UNICEF has launched a campaign at ending child marriage in the Country.

The campaign which also coincided with the reopening of schools on Monday, aims to advocate for keeping the girl child in school. It is dubbed “Somethings are not meant for children; marriage is one of them”.  UNICEF child protection officer, Juliet Akello tells us more.
