Sometimes you visit a property that was awesome when you were a kid. Heck, even awesome a few years ago. Then you realize that most of the characters are unlikable, that the original premise is made of farts, and now it has ruined your memories and you can never go back. This week we "read" the Audible Original Novelizations of Ghostbusters 1 and 2 by William Gibson.

WARNING!  This "book," this "podcast," and its stupid "hosts" are all  NSFW!

We apologize for the delay in getting this episode out!  October is a silly month for us! Please bear with us. We'll be back on schedule by the end of the month!

This week our heroes discuss the Audible "Audiobook" adaptation of Ghostbusters 1 and 2 by Richard Mueller, and Ed Naha, narrated by Johnny Heller. It's a mess.  You'll walk away feeling like you've been covered in slime... of some type.

The guys discover that they didn't remember that the Ghostbusters (except the ever underused Winston) are scumbags of the first degree.  They reminice on when the franchise of Ghostbusters wasn't tainted with the spectre of sexual assult and gross narrative negligence. (Spoiler: that was never. Being a child when first consuming something, and then making an effort to throw away your rose-tinted glasses can help a lot in lerning how problematic something you used to love is.)

The brothers wrestle with how to differentiate sexual predator from sex pest (More spoilers: there is no difference).  Rance gets mad about the book and the narration right out of the box, and Bob is finally convinced he has actually found something that has destroyed his childhood.  There's no saving you. There is no one to call. Final summation? Ghostbusters is and always has been made up of a gross sex predator, a man child, a weird emotionless automaton who does not understand basic human interaction, and a hero.

Also, Dana should have run away as soon as she met them, instead of going back for gross partner seconds at the end of Ghostbusters 2

P.S. I ain't afraid of Bustin'.
