Oct 15, 2020, 05:00 AM

***Trigger Warning*** This episode includes discussion about sexual assault and domestic violence.

You know Leanne as a Political Scientist who works in the restorative justice sector. She has been advocating for and fighting for change for survivors of domestic and sexual assault her entire career. Today on the podcast she discusses her personal experiences that led her to her chosen career path. Alongside fellow Dope Black Woman Nkechi Ampabeng, together they discuss how being survivors of domestic violence has influenced the women they have become, where they are on their healing journeys, how we as a community can better support Black Women and what support you can give to someone who is in a domestic abuse situation.

The Dope Black Women Podcast is all about bringing black women together to discuss the topics that matter to us, connect and support with each other and through our digital sisterhood.

Your hosts is Leanne Levers.
