Guterres: Covid19 likely to push 115 million people into poverty this year

The United Nations Secretary General has called for enhanced efforts in the fight against poverty, due to the added impact of the covid19 pandemic. Antonio Guterres urged various governments to accelerate economic transformation by investing in a green sustainable recovery.

He said this in his message to commemorate international day for eradication of poverty.
