David Shearer: Listen to your people at the national dialogue conference.

The UN Special Representative of the Secretary General to South Sudan, David Shearer has urged South Sudan leaders to listen to their people through the national dialogue conference.

Shearer is calling on the country’s leaders to create a conducive environment for the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement and subsequent holding of elections at the end of the transitional period. 

The national dialogue is an initiative which was introduced in 2017 by President Salva Kiir to open avenues to discuss national issues and offer a platform for reconciliation and healing.
